It's been over a year since the last patch, and I was wondering if anyone has yet found any workarounds that would allow a moderately savvy individual such as myself to play the game with choice cvars such as the following:

I am aware of the cheat protection measures for which most of the console has been locked, and although I care not about multiplayer, I highly doubt any of these could even be used to gain an unfair advantage. All I care is that I can get the best graphics and performance out of singleplayer. If I had the relevant knowledge, I'd be willing to go so far as to create an entirely separate launcher to do so.

I've been waiting for more than a year. Over that time period I have become deeply perturbed over this one glaring flaw in an otherwise beautiful game. Modders? Crytek? Anyone?
