Maybe it's a bit late for this but anyway...

I usually do better in CS than in TIA, I think that's because I know exactly what to do in CS but in TIA I mostly ignore my team and I play solo. Any advice on how to play TIA?

If you want less enemies around you, watch the minimap and go where your friendlies are (where they spawn), so you are safer there and you can pick enemies from distance.
If you want more enemies just for yourself go on the opposite side of the map of where your friendlies are.

Find few spots on the map where you feel the safest, and patrol on those places. When enemy spawns change, switch position. Those spots on the map depend on the weapon you want to use.

Patroling... That sounds good.
