I think wee need a on screen Quest Marker. Most quests can get you lost and/or confused.

I disagree whole heartedly. I despise it when a game's developers think I need my hand held. If it'd in, it better be toggle activated.

One side: "OMGZ NOES HANDHOLDINGZ!!"
The other: "NO U STUPID!"
My prediction of the outcome of this thread, severely dramatized.
I'm all for adding it to the game, so long as I can take it away, and I get a way to figure out where locations are through other means(Though that won't happen).

I would prefer having a well detailed quest journal and locational clues rather than a glowing GPS beacon. I find using more of my brain than just my eyes enriches the experience.

I would hope magic isn't added to fallout.

im talking about it being a fading marker like a quest starts it shows up and slowly disappers after a time.

The compass still points directly at wherever you need to go. A giant arrow in the sky or whatever it may be would be distracting.

But, do you really need that?
You could just as easily follow the marker on your compass.

I agree with the OP. I like that I can't get lost in Skyrim's dungeons. It just irks me when the quest objective is find/search for item when the quest arrow shows you exactly where to go. I'd like them for FO4 but don't make them too specific.

Like in Skyrim how when you get close to a door you need to go through a little arrow appears hovering at the door?

Cause that's not nearly as complicated as the bat signal.
