Adding dialogue to an object.

How do I add dialogue to an object? For example: I want to make a ring that when worn, I can issue commands to specific npcs or creatures.

I don't think that's possible but I may be wrong.

Are you talking about when you activate an object eg ring, it gives you a choice of what you'd like it to do, such as commanding an npc to follow you?

Yes, that's what I mean. I know Fliggerty did it in his Blasphemous Revenants mod.

You can't add dialog to an object, but you can have an invisible NPC nearby that forcegreets the player whenever they activate an object. Otherwise, just use message boxes. To create an invisible NPC, create a new race that has no body parts assigned so that it won't show up in-game.

I think that might just work. Thanks.
