A little help with Dialogue / Questing

Post » Wed Feb 24, 2010 11:28 pm

I've been working a mod for awhile now, but have gotten to the point where I can't put off learning to do some dialogue and proper quest work. I've gone through the wiki and made some basic tests, but I learn better by tearing apart a working model and dissecting it for my own needs.

I was wondering if someone knew of a Vanilla or Mod Quest that is slightly complex, but not a sprawling mess with 30 conditions and 12 NPC's dialogue to sift through. If not then when I am 100% done with the structure and framework I'll just bludgeon my way through it all, but that's not the preferred route.

The tutorial quest has no branching, only two NPCs to talk to and is generally pretty simple. Think it has 5 stages (Talk to the NPC, shoot the bottles, the three wells, then make some healing powder), and it covers almost everything that quests do, from displaying tutorial screens to sensing an item to killing mobs.

"Ant Misbehaving" also known as VNellisInfestation is a fairly simple straightforward quest to understand too.

"Cold, Cold Heart" AKA vNiptonVulpes involves more dialogue than "ant misbehaving"
