TalosAkatoshCHIM

Hey guys. I'm new to the lore section, and have a few questions.

1. How exactly does CHIM work?

2. Why do people think Talos achieved it?

3. Is akatosh really dead? If so, how? I though that it was the original time god who lost some of his power during the creation of mundus, due to Lorkhan's trickery not akatosh specifically, who I thought was created by Imperials to satisfy the nords version of akatosh, alduin, and the elves, auri-el, so they wouldnt bump heads or something. Basically, I'd like a rundown on Akatosh's whole situation.

I realize these are all topics that can be whole threads themselves, so if there is a thread that already talks about these, or if you know a link that I can go to to read up on it myself, I'd greatly appreciate it. Any links on Lorkhan and his Shizarre and avatars would be nice too. I'm trying to get a better understanding of the lore.

I'll sum it up really fast.

1) CHIM is like enlightenment, but if you do it wrong, you cease to exist. You realize that you are a part of everything that isn't real but actually is real so you are real in a not-real universe. Then you become a lucid dreamer in a dream that isn't yours.

2) "Many Headed Talos" refers to "breathe in royalty". CHIM is an Ehlnofex word for royalty. There's alot of stuff about how he has parallels with Vivec, who we know has CHIM, so...yeah.

3)Sort of. Akatosh is a simulacrum-made-flesh based on the archetype of DRAGONASTIME. The Aedra (here I mean, the Ada that made the Mundus with their bodies, not "ancestors" of the Aldmer, although the two might align) are dead, and mortal belief makes "gods" from them (twists their forms is more like what actually happens, if the mortal brain could understand it).

Alessia made up Akatosh as a combination of the Nordic Shor and the Aldmeri/Ayleid/Cyrodiilic Auriel to compromise both religions. She invented him to always exist, and because Marukh the prophet danced on the tower, he always existed, even before his invention.

There's lots of chicken-and-the-egg ouroboroses here when it comes to gods, kalpas, GODHEAD, CHIM, Z, etc.

In reference to number 2, there's also that line from the Commentaries on the Mysterium Xarxes:
CHIM. Those who know it can reshape the land. Witness the home of the Red King Once Jungled.
Which just outright says that "yeah, that Many Headed Talos thing, totally chim."
