i encountered several issues while playing fallout 3. first of all i had the notorious "radio stuttering", but i already fixed it due to fallout wiki.tesnexus.
=> Increasing size of audio cache and installing miscellaneous filters, like MADFilter didn't work at all - but installing ac3 filters and tell it to use "WaveOut" instead of "DirectSound" for my fallout3.exe finally fixed my issues.
From now on there is an other problem that needs to be fixed: I can't hear NPC's voices anymore. If i turn my ac3 filter settings back to "DirectSound" voices are working correctly again. And there we have the dilemma: I can either play with radio stuttering or without NPC voices. Additionally the WaveOut setting forces the game to crash randomly (didn't test that out for a long time)
I already tried to change the *.ogg files to be dedicated to Windows Media Player, but that didn't work. I hope you can help me out here, beause my google search (no NPC voices in touch with ac3 filters "WaveOut" sound setting) already reached its limits.
