Captain Mae West-Smithson's eyebrows dropped and his smile fell right off his face. She knew he wouldn’t like that one.
Well I thought it was funny. Mae continued to glare at him, not breaking eye contact.
Before she could react, his hand made contact with her cheek. It didn’t hurt physically, but made her feel extremely angry inside. He seemed unphased by his actions and continued speaking in an emotionless voice.
"Your name, now. You, miss, will listen to me carefully and answer with truth. Next time maybe you'll... Let's say lose a finger or two, maybe some electric torture as well..."
This man was dangerous. Mae felt extremely unsafe and uncomfortable, very well knowing he wouldn’t hesitate to cause harm to her. His actions seemed to excite him, he looked as though he was eager for more pain.
Mae had never been in a hostage situation before and had never experienced being helpless and vulnerable. She always made sure to get the upper hand, but he had caught her off guard, multiple times it seemed. She thought about several tactics she could use in the current situation. Speaking her mind and saying what she wanted would only get more of a rise out of him, and telling him what he wanted to know was not an option. Mae had thought this over previously as if she knew this event was going to occur. The answer, she would never offer any information to the enemy regaurdless of the circumstances. Seeing as her captor was not her friend, she came to the pretty obvious conclusion he was her enemy.
She decided to play up the ‘damsel in distress’ female role, attempting to catch him off guard.
Time to turn on the water works.Mae looked at him with watery eyes, purposely quivering her lip. He looked convinced from her point of view. She said softly, “Why are you doing this..?”
