I have never played any of the dlc and was going to buy some later this month. Since I don't have the ultimate edition but my question is if I download dlc do you get to go back to areas after you finish the dlc story or do you just go back to the mojave and not be able to go back? Because I was thinking of getting honest hearts and old world blues. The others I would save for later.

Edit: I would get the dlc in order they where released but these 2 look and sound fun to me.

With the DLC's, while you are in them, you are in them until the MQ is completed. However, afterwards, you can go back and explore the areas. The generic enemies respawn. Most of the side quests are still available after the MQ, however optional side MQ quests may not be available.
