Recommendations for NPCCharacter Appearance Mods

Post » Thu Sep 06, 2012 9:48 am

Hi guys. I don't play Oblivion in a loooooooong time and i'm making a new mod install. I've been researching and finished my modlist for almost everykind of mod. The only area where i'm completely lost are the mods that work on the appearance of the humanoid characters.

Right now i have Robert's and HGEC bodies installed and i'm using F-INev textures for the female bodies. For faces i'm using Natural Faces and CCC.

As a overhaul for the NPCs i'm using Better Looking Wood Elves, Better Looking Dark Elves and Better Looking Dremora with TNR being used for the other races.

Problem is. I'm not a fan of many of the changes CCC and i'm not sure if Natural Faces is the best options for textures. Also, at least with my breton character the body skin has weird colors with red or purple hues, very different from the colors on the face.

Finally, i from the hundreds of hair styles CCC has most are for woman and some are either buggy, missaligned or seem to me out of place on Oblivion. As the character i'm using now is male i would like to have better options for him.

Any of you guys have good suggestions?

EDIT: Btw guys, i'm not looking for unrealistic super-model/porm actress bodies or to anime-like faces or anything that would change too much from the mood of TES.

EDIT 2: Just noticed i was using V4 of Robert's Body instead of the lastest one. Maybe that was the cause of the bug with the colors?

There is also some very good information and advice in http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1170609-how-do-i-make-body-seams-as-unnoticeable-as-possible/, though I'm not sure how much of it would be redundant, because I haven't read those that Dubiousness posted.

Thanks for all the information. I guess in the end i'll have to do a great deal of testing before deciding.
