Teamspeak overlay with DX11

Post » Mon Sep 10, 2012 1:33 am

Is any special configuration required to get teamspeak overlay to work with DX11? I was trying out TS with a couple of clanmates and the guy with DX9 could see the overlay but the 2 of us with DX11 couldn't.

BTW I am using TS 64 bit on 64bit windows 7

Thanks,

If you are using another program that uses an overlay, could overwrite teamspeak's overlay. I had this issue with xfire+mirillis. The only way I could "fix" it was to launch xfire, launch the game, switch to desktop, launch mirillis and both were working just fine.

Xfire has compatibility problems with nearly every program you could think of.....

Not exactly, it works for me with every game I have played and playing now. The problem I have stated was only occuring when I launched the game when mirillis was turned on. I had the same issue with msi afterburner, than I switched to evga precesion and just turned off my osd for it.

-proVoc-: Fraps' osd works with anything so that's really not a problem. You should dig teamspeak forums for a sollution. I checked it myself now, it supports DX11 and worked for me properly both in DX9 and DX11. Set your game to DX9 and check it that way and if it works, than something went wrong in your ts settings or maybe a driver issue. Who knows? Crysis 2 has way too much bugs.

I turned off DX11 and it still doesn't work so obviously some other issue. I also turned off the Steam overlay which I never use and had forgotten was even enabled. I have latest versions of 64 bit teamspeak and overlay plugin and there are not many settings (I tried obvious ones like Enforce Loading). I guess I could try the 32 bit version.

Cheers

Thanks for the suggestion, just tried it with two other steam games Homefront (DX11) and Rage and it works fine. I also tried the 32bit version on Crysis and still no success.

So can anyone confirm if they have got teamspeak overlay working on the steam version of crysis maximum edition?
