I think i got the name correct. Anyway. Why does the mysterious owner give your character the manor (Correct me if i am wrong on the giving your character the manor) ? And i get the feeling the mysterious owner is a or was a imperial legion soldier as i found imperial legion armor in a chest.

He's not. Its a regular DB quest, and you just have to follow through.
You are free to keep the house after the related quest.

Summitmist Manor, actually. No sweat tho. You only need to be 100% correct in the Quiz thread. ;)

You find Imperial Legion Armor in a chest there because one of the guests (Neville) is a retired Imperial Legion soldier. He might run to the chest and put it on if he's attacked; can't say I'm 100% sure about that though. Been a while since I played the quest.

You can't ever actually take ownership of Summitmist Manor; you get the key only so that you can get inside and make sure everyone in there dies. You can, however, take owership of the townhouse across the road from Summitmist (Rosethorn Hall).

You can live there afterward however (though it doesn't add to your Houses Owned counter). I think there was a topic about the storage here somewhere.

Also, if that is not enough storage for you, and you are on PC, get the Imperial Furniture renovated mod. Very handy.

'Tis true; you *can* shack up there if you wish. Without mods, you just need to be careful not to stow stuff outside of the bags/sacks. Not bad if you want to have a "tony" residence as an infamous entity.

The main problem with using it as a home is that nobody but the player can get out. If you have any followers or companions, they'll get trapped there.

No followers here, make 'em wait in the rain outside. Or, if you have the Adoring Fan, my warriors often have him stationed just outside the front door, to light the way home. :twirl: The floors at Summitmist Manor are very wide-open and spacious, making an ideal place to create large murals, if you will, of all your treasures. I just wish on 360, I had access to a dummy of sorts, for displaying all my suits of armor. I've decided to stay in Cheydinhal, making the manor, White Stallion Lodge and my little Imperial Shack as way stations for R&R. Originally was going to purchase the Skingrad house, but that damn orc fell off the bridge to his death..... :(

This gives me a good idea with Glarthir and the AF. Thank you for giving me the idea. I want to see who annoys the other one first. Heres the funny thing about the AF. After i became grand champion a few days a go i say the AF and said. "Oh crap i forgot about you"
