Can't seem to install mods

I have the cd version of the GOTY but every time I put a black sun fixing mod into my texture folder, my cd tray opens up. It just won't work. Any suggestions?

I am on WIndows 7 if that helps

Huh. Do you have your game installed in Program Files?

And are you sure you're not trying to copy the texture onto the CD / DVD / Blu Ray drive?
