Where can I legally buy (DL) the official GOTY version of MW

Post » Sat Sep 15, 2012 10:19 am

I want to get MW for the PC and yes I want to pay for it. But do I have to buy a hard copy or can I just DL it from Bethesda legally? And yes obviously pay for it.

Where can I do this? Link?

Steam has it: http://store.steampowered.com/app/22320

Bethesda does not sell it.

So, the only way to legally direct DL morrowind as a purchase is through steam? -_-

Will it run on a 64 bit win 7 OS?

Impulse has it for sale too. http://www.impulsedriven.com/morrowind
The Code Patch doesn't work with the Impulse version, so Steam is a much better option.

It works fine on Win7.

Is Impulse a trusted site? Is it a legal direct download? I've heard of downloading games from some sites and they were nothing but cracks that still required you to insert the CD lol. From a DOWNLOAD lol. Just covering my bases, as you can imagine.

Yes, it's a trusted site, but the best option is still Steam.

I bought mine around 2 years ago for £5 on Amazon. Not sure if they still stock it however.

I saw it in some brick-and-mortars as recently as last year. You may get lucky.

Why is steam a better option than the Gamestop Impulse site? I'm Downloading the game right now via impulse.

Because the MCP is practically essential. Your loss.

The problem with Impulse is that it's not compatible with the Morrowind Code Patch (MCP). MCP fixes a lot of issues with the executable that mods can't touch. But if you just want to play, Impulse is fine.
