Morrowind Mod Maker's Manual - has it been updated?

Post » Mon Sep 17, 2012 11:27 am

I was looking around for info and ran across this document at http://lovkullen.net/Emma/edvardmd.htm which has Edwardsmd "Morrowind Mod Maker's Manual". It's version 2.0 dated June 2005. It seems pretty thorough although parts of it are out of date, such as the tools and web sites it lists toward the end.

Is there a comparable reference document out there that is more current and incorporates new material? Is it still a good source of info? Are there other docs out there that would be useful to read to supplement or expand on what edwardsmd wrote?

I recommend the sticky threads in the Construction Set forum about tutorials. They link to the the Mod Maker's manual and many other similar and related resources.

Quick response  I see that the tutorials thread seems to have had an update last year, if I read Miltiades' pinned thread correctly. Wrt to MMMM, new tools have been released that aren't mentioned and graphics tools have changed, but the bulk of his document in its scope and detail re: commands and variables impresses me, but I'm not a modder so I have no touchstone on which to guage how useful it is as a reference manual these days.

I've used that a fair bit in my tinkering in the CS. As you say the utilities section is out of date but the meat of it, about the CS itself, has really helped me out.
