Extending lifespan through magic?

Post » Tue Sep 18, 2012 10:17 pm

Few questions.
In some threads, I've heard of dark elf mages who used some type of magic to greatly extend their lifespan, to 1000-4000 years old?

I was wondering, if the human/beast races could possibly do this too? (Live up to 500'ish?)

Please forgive my horribly bad TES knowledge.

Elves are most well-known for doing this because of their higher affinity for magic and their already-long lifespans. But one doesn't need to be an elf in order to have an affinity for magic, or all mage-class players would be very restricted in their race choices. Bretons, also known for their magic use, probably dabble in life-extending magic quite often. And even if the beast races as a whole aren't known for their magic use, that doesn't mean that individual Khajiit or Argonians haven't gone the extra mile and learned enough to extend their lives. I can think of at least one Khajiit and a couple of Argonians in the Mages Guild, so we know that they don't just ignore their magicka because they have weird-looking faces.
