Does anyone else think Skyrim is leading to a big Arkay reve

Simply put, lets look at the facts: we have Falkreath, a town seriously influenced by Arkay, where seasons dont seem to take effect, even while it snows below it (bruma). Corpselight farm, the massive graveyard, dead man's drink, grave concotions, so on. Runil (the caretaker) explains that the town has seen many wars, being the junction between Cyrodiil and Skyrim, he also has vision he notes down in his diary.

The grim atmosphere seems to be an incredibly important theme yet there doesnt seem to be much to it currently, not much we can investigate on, even though we can ask villagers questions about the graveyard and the quiet. Im sure im missing some points but anyway:

then we have Dawnguard, vampires, enemies of Arkay for they remain in the same mindset and even influenced by a daedric lord, living forever and thus never being able to live outside the dream-sleeve (CHIM). Not to mention, of course, Florentius, the man who claims to be able to talk about Arkay. I think theres a bit more to it than just sillyness, "Arkay's been watching over me for years, says hes not too sure about you though" I like to think it goes up to the ruling king thing rather than just oh your a player do what you want.

Finally Ill leave with one last note before we begin discussion: The crest of Falkreath, the stag, was altered somewhat after hearth or dg (im not sure which) and it was the only one to have been changed. Thoughts?

It also snows "above" Whiterun. I don't think that climate thing you brought up means much, it's probably something to do with elevation, valleys, mountains, etc. I think the names of Falkreath stores and whatnot are just the town's way of embracing their macabre past.

The caretaker is just a crazy old man, like that irish fellow in Braveheart who said he could talk to god.

If you go around the town and talk to the people. especially the lady who runs the apothecary, they will tell you why they named their store just that, ask about the poisons... its just a running joke in the town since the town is basicly one giant cemetary where they buried the multitude of thousands of Skyrim soldiers over centuries of war. Its basicly Skyrim's version of the United States, Arlington National Cemetary where they bury the fallen soldiers.

Im afraid I cant seem to find a before after either, although I only searched for like 2 minutes (maybe im messed up then idk). As for the seasons Pete, its actually mentioned in runils journal, the seasons do not change at all in Falkreath, its always rainy and chilly but never snows, even when everywhere else is summer, I do think its important, especially when he says that seasons are the realm of Arkay, yet they do not have any effect on Kreath. As for the stores, Im aware and its probably it, but I think its some foreshadowing, telling us sehthekemiyatayem is about to go down. We have to wonder, theres a rudimentary version of Cyrodiil and Morrowind inside Skyrim files, and Skyrim is currently the only one 'standing up' to the Thalmor (besides hammerfell but they cant pick that weve already had a redguard game <.< /[censored]tyreason) who have potentially a tower to defend. I think its quite likely there will be a big battle fought at Falkreath agaisnt encroaching thalmor, where else would they come from? High Rock is still safe and I dont think theyd want to use the water whatwith extreme cold but its possible they would do an attack on two fronts, they do have Northwatch after all.

And no, Runil is quite sane if you actually bother talking to him. I believe you mixed yourself with Florentius. Even then, my reasons are explained, I think there could be more to it, halls of the dead in every town, etc, theres an undeniable undertone of Arkay throughout the entire game and its seriously itching at the back of my head.

Maybe. I guess I just think of it as the dev's trying to make the world more interesting, not necessarily as a foreshadowing of DLC.

Maybe Snow Whale DLC?

I admit it might be nothing, but still I just cant shake off the thought, after all its really the only town that has a subject non quest-related that is so widely available for discussion with townsfolk. Also Snow Whale? Im not sure I know what thats from exactly.
