If you shoot someone in a town expect the entire town to be gunning for you. Only people safe to kill are people outside towns, like caravan people and super mutant hostages.

Scavengers (Not the Caravans) out in the wild are simple, easy to kill, and you get some decent loot.
There is no penalty for killing Silver so nothing wrong with taking the caps from her.
The lady at the fishing wharf north of the Citadel is an easy kill
Random Encounters, you can kill the people you meet during the encounters

Killing silver gives bad karma AFAIK

When my wasteland wanderer is having a bad day and those wastelanders are rude for no reason, often just after you save them from a deathclaw, I shoot them for their bad manners for no consequence (maybe bad karma, can't remember but meh!). :flamethrower:

If you only want to shoot them for the sake of shooting them, but don't want to effect the game otherwise, you can do what my sibling did. Which is save the game ahead of time, then go on a full blown rampage throughout some civilization; killing everyone. Then reload your save before said rampage, and there ya go.

My brother did it often when he wanted the benefits of their being alive, but was ticked off with them/just wanted to shoot them.

Well, you can rampage to your heart's content in Paradise Falls; the place stays a ghost town afterward. You even get Good Karma for it (just don't kill the slaves, too). Do it after getting Pronto his twenty Chinese assault rifles and you can get decent loot as well. I think it's fun to do it with the Stealth Suit and the Shock Sword if your Sneak is high - the slavers start getting freaked out.

Why not pick either Rivet City, Megaton or Tenpenny Towers, promise yourself that you will do no quests there or ever trade there, and go off? You can do this at Canterbury Commons, but it doesn't feel like a rampage, as there is what, only like 5 people there.

Go kick in some doors at GNR.

I often meet travelers out in the Wastes, and it always ends with them saying, "What, are you gonna shoot me for it?" And then I do. And laugh. And yell, "YESSS! Give me my precious!" at the screen.

Its not your fault, Its not bad karma. They can always lie to you and thank you, while not meaning it. But they dont. They say to move along, right in your face.
Ignoring the fact that you saved them.
The only remedy: shooting them in the face :D

Hmm i think i'll go start up gta4 xD

At the moment my character is wearing the Chinese Stealth Armor and crouching on top of one of those metal duct things in the Rivet City marketplace. The one on the other side of the room near the motorbike. Anyone who walks past down below becomes an instant member of 'the hobbler's club,' One shot to the leg and they spend the rest of their lives hobbling around the ship. Sure, most everyone goes hostile, but as they can't find me they soon give up and forget about it. Sort of. Their indicators are still red but if I leave the marketplace and come back tomorrow they've forgotten all about it. (I'm not sure if that's always been like that as I play a heavily modded game. Maybe a console user could tell me if that's true or not).
The people in the marketplace aren't the only ones, though. Everyone on the ship gets the same treatment. Only one shot, though. Two can kill them.

Yes, I'm bored and just passing time

I guess if killing is really what you prefer to do then wipe out Rivet City entirely. I think there are only 3 essential NPC's, 4 if you count Victoria Watts and you haven't completed that quest she's associated with. Although would you really want to permanently remove the traders? I only wipe out towns like that on a non-serious save. A 'mucking around' save.

I suppose if you're finished with the quest connected to the two, you could wipe out Arefu and Meresti. Arefu has nothing of interest after you finish the quest, grab the repair bobblehead and gain the map points. Meresti has a deal where you can sell them blood packs and a trader so they're more valuable to you alive, but it's up to you.

Karl, and the trader from Evergreen Mills, are hard to get to. While I certainly appreciate having a place to stop and unload some gear, they are just too much of a pain to get to. So I mine Meresti Station when everyone is sleeping, loot the store and leave. Then I come back at a later date, wait for the guard to explode, and go kick vampire ass. I get pop up messages saying things like, Vance left leg crippled. Nice. I put the mine right where he stands. :foodndrink:

Maybe they thought you were putting him out of his misery.

If you feel you must slaughter something, there's always Red or Shorty at Germantown, or Sticky in Lamplight. The Lamplighters won't care. Far as they're concerned, Sticky's a nonperson because he turned 16.
