forcing ur views unto others

Ok, thru out all the fallout games how many times did u force ur views onto thers only for it to turn sour in the end?
Ill give an example of one of my older playthrus. The tenpenny tower. You got ghouls who want to be allowed to live there, but the owner dosent want the ghouls to live their in his tower. I went the diplomatic approach and worked towards getting the humans, and ghouls to live side by side.
The ending wasnt what I was expecting and to me maybe I didnt have the right to force my views onto the citizens of the tower because it was their tower. They maybe bigots but hey it is their home they own. Maybe I wasnt right in forcing equality on to them.

Anyone got any other situations where u forced ur views onto a npc or group of npcs, and got a result u werent expecting? Can be from any of the fallouts.

I did the same thing to Tenpenny Tower and didn't expect that to happen. Quite weird but I once convinced a guy to talk to a weird guy in an alleyway so that I could get through it and then he exploded. I only kinda guessed that it might turn out that way but WHY IN HELL'S NAME WERE THERE SO MANY MINI-NUKES!?

I thought of another one. Its about Hanlon. First time I played through I forced him to own up to what he was doing, because it was the right thing to do. Suffice to say the rangers lost a leader and become blamed for the defeat at the dam. Basically because of one man they become the scapegoats to the ncr politics for the ncr defeats and that great organization basically crumbles into dust.
Maybe my way of rigjteousness wasnt worth the cost, and by me forcing my righteous views onto Hanlon I basically doomed one of ncrs top forces and the areas they protect become dangerous again. I mean he did know that the ncr wasnt really serious about the Mojave and only the dam and was downplaying the legion, all he was trying to do was get more attention to the area and better equipment and staff for the army for the battle of Hoover dam. With me forcing my views onto him, I damaged one of ncrs greatest defensive and offensive organizations.

Well the most famous Fallout 1 scenario ~got cut; it was changed to a more predictable outcome. Originally if the PC sided with Gizmo over Killian in Junktown, then Junktown would have become a crime haven, but a profitable one where most were well [or even better] off for it. Had the PC backed Killian, he would have later instituted a heavy handed martial government; brutally enforced order, punished crime, and the town would stagnate in poverty under his iron-fisted rule.

I denied the ghouls access to the tower because they didn't even care about living there, just jealous of the residents living a life they would never have. Stupid 3dog asshat had the balls to call me evil for rejecting them... so i censored his ass with a bullet to the brain.

I didnt know about that. That woulda been awesome, to bad it got cut.

To many times we do something knowing how it will end, but in fallout im sures theres plenty of situations it sneaks one by ya.
Keep them coming.

I once tried to get a kid killed in the wasteland by telling him to run away but instead he survived. I don't know if that counts but I was REALLY hoping to kill that kid.
