Is it just me, or do Guns feel... weak?

Is your wife rolling about the floor laughing at your struggles?

If she is dont rule out the possibility that she is turning up the difficulty when your not around.

I do this to my step brother who plays on very easy on skyrim, FO3 and nv,cracks me up every time.
That's hilarious. Has he caught on yet?

it's either a 45 mele OR a 45 guns, which you have, so you will be able to get the cowboy perk, you just need one, not both.
Nope, pretty sure the Cowboy perk requires both. There aren't any OR conditions for perks in vanilla, I don't think.

Sir, how much Psycho is in your system right now? Guns are extremely powerful, you might not being using the correct weapons that show it. 12.7mm weapons, rifles such as the Brush gun or sniper rifle, heavy guns like minigun and light machine gun. All great weapons. If anything, I find many energy weapons lacking, sadly. Energy weapons are my favorite kind.

It may appear that the plasma princess is doing the killing when in fact it might actually be the companion with the hunting rifle who's hanging out at the back of the group.

I may insist on being called plasma princess around the house from now on.

Ooh! New hobby!

In all fairness, I think my companion is picking up a lot of slack, and if he wasn't such a Debbie Downer I'd like him even more. But even with my cool bro, grenades and a plasma rifle, against the Legion Death Squads I was hamburger. And grenades work wonders, but only from a distance. But now I have a flamer. ha! svck that you Legion dogs!

My EW and Exp are both in the mid 50s, but with perks is up in the 60s (my other high level perks are Science, Speech, Repair and Barter. Midge likes her gadgets). And I took the Mad Bomber, Bloody Mess, Black Widow perks and also scored Lord Death (apparently killing things that I know will turn hostile before they turn hostile counts as being mean...). I haven't perked out Demo Expert, but plan to.

As for keeping our marriage together, I'm pretty sure that's what the Duct tape is for.

EDIT: it won't let me fix how I used the quote boxes...blergh.

So? I usually have at least 4-5 skills maxed by level 25-30, with another few in the 70s or 80s. This isn't FO3, you don't need 10 INT to round out your character.

30 is pretty much max level though. The OP isn't anywhere near that yet..also, I'm pretty sure skill points per level aren't as plentiful as in FO3.

Get the Cowboy perk that improves 'cowboy' weapons.

Just improve your character and weapons, the .357 isn't very good considering where you are.

Your wife uses explosives, of course she can make 3 fiends disappear with a frag. Energy weapons are very powerful, especially plasma, the consensus with guns is quantity over quality.

Don't let this hurt your marriage, SHE PLAYS VIDEO GAMES! You are one lucky man to have a wife like that. (Tell her I said that too.) Ask how she plays her character, she might surprise you with what she thinks about about both the characters.

Btw, I don't know if Jaberkaty is actually your wife or not, "it" sure implies that....

Guns are not weak, they are actually more powerful than Energy Weapons (which doesn't make a damn lick of sense).

NOT TRUE! I wish that I could use energy weapons instead of guns for my character, but none of them can even be silenced, so it really constricts a players ability as a stealth character.

TC, It's just you. Your courier is low level and using a firearm that is not meant for the task at hand.

The .357 magnum is for unarmoured targets with few Hit Points. It is the kind of handgun one might wear with casual clothes and in an environment that is very likely to be very safe. It is mostly just for looks - ivory grip and ornate engravings.
Your courier being a cowboy with a mission should have something significantly more powerful in his hands. A rifle (in your case something lightweight (low requirements) with high DAM / DPS).

My suggestion: Fully modded Cowboy Repeater - good DAM, high DPS (weird sights but you'll get used to it) + fires .357 also .44 if I'm not mistaken.
Another weapon you may find useful is the Lever-Action Shotgun.
