I'm stumped on the Lincolm picture

Post » Sun Feb 28, 2010 7:50 pm

Everything seems to indicate I should get the Lincoln Memorial picture at the Museum of History, but darned if I can find it. It also occurred to me that if I got a camera in my Items, I could take a photo of the Memorial, but that didn't seem to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It's in the Lincoln Exhibit in the Museum of History, to the left of the big entrance to Underworld. Get a Ghoul mask (or a nice shotgun.)

The "picture" is actually a poster of the whole memorial. It's on a wall behind a desk. Said desk is located in the vault, in the last area of the Lincoln exhibid, on the second floor of said vault. It's easy to miss unless you know exactly where to look.

Don't forget to search EVERYTHING! You'll get a bunch of things you can sell to the Slavers, Slaves, or the DC Preservation Society in Rivet City. (Hint, look for things with "lincoln" "John Wilkes Booth" "penny" or "Civil War" in the name.)

So where exactly in the museum have you looked? It's a large poster that's hanging on a wall over top of a desk in that area with all the Feral Ghouls. There's a gun turret there, and you have to go up a flight of stairs. The desk is on that landing you get to when you reach the top. Be sure to search that whole area carefully, there's a number of Lincoln artifacts you can sell off, including the Lincoln Repeater lever rifle. It's one of the best small guns in the game.

Oops, too late.

I thought of the camera thing once, too, but then made the realization that having a picture of the *broken* statue wouldn't help any more than seeing it in person would.

Thanks, guys. That's a pretty well-hidden item.

Also, I think the poster only spawns after you activate that quest, so if you've already been there earlier in the game and cleared it out, you would need to go back and find it later.

I've confirmed this to be true.

Does that go for the other artifacts as well? I keep forgetting the penny collection, though I get everything else. The Repeater first, of course; it makes getting everything else that much easier.

Nope, nothing but the poster.

It's easy to overlook some of the items, though, especially those you find on the bookshelves.

It took me absolutely ages to find the picture the first time I looked for it.
