Help! Error when trying to add .esp to FOMM

I've been trying to add the 'Nevada Skies' mod to my mod manager (I use the Fallout one, not the Nexus one so it doesn't cross with Skyrim at all). And all I get is an error saying 'something bad seems to have happened'. The mod itself is part of 2 downloads; one including the textures which I added to the Fallout folder and another with the .esp to add to FOMM to enable it. I've tried everything suggested to me online but no avail.

I would switch to NMM. as it is built off the same code but has updated functionality.

It's telling me the .esp is not supported on there too. I'll try adding it without extracting it from the .rar or zip file...whichever it came in, as those seem to be supported.

Does NMM work with NVSE? New Vegas is running on 4GB.

Fixed! Using NMM and it works, I didn't extract the mod and it worked. Also it has the NVSE option. Thanks. :)
