Mods Manager?

Post » Tue Sep 25, 2012 2:12 pm

Hey,

I'm a bit confused about the various Mod Managers. I started by download the Oblivion Nexus Mod Manager. It was nice to see if the mod I have has an upgrade version and use the quick download options. However, I noticed that some mods only come as OMOD, or require to be run from OMOD Manager to be installed as they require script-use. I notice you can download OMOD manager from withing Nexus Manager, but it won't work. So I'm stuck using two Addon managers. Just figure out I'll ask here what is the most common way to work/update/install/uninstall mods :)

Yup ... it is called http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1084204-bain-mod-installation-projects/ and is part of http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1411667-relz-wrye-bash-thread-95/.

People will post soon that I am trying to overwhelm you. It is not as difficult as it seems. But, to be fair it does have features upon features - that means that depending on what you are trying to do it can take a while. The advantage is true control of what is installed after it is installed.

+1 for Wrye Bash.

Don't go for OBMM/Nexus MM, as troublshooting is mucho mucho easier with Wrye Bash.

See my signature for a link to the beginner's guide on Wrye Bash.
