Lately I've been playing Daggerfall fairly consistently, with sessions most days. Don't know how long it'll last. My focus, TES wise, is and will likely remain Oblivion. That's the one I'm sure to play daily...assuming I have time to play at all. I'm also doing a bit of Skyrim off and on, and will take occasional sabbaticals from TES altogether to concentrate on Minecraft.
DF is a great game, in some ways the best of the lot. (This could of course be said of all TES games with the possible exception of Arena.) I played it to death when it was new and shiny, abandoning it when I became hooked on MMOs upon release of that old gankfest Meridian59. Appropriately, Oblivion ended my MMO addiction.
Only recently have I taken up DG again. It is so different from the more modern TES entries that I feel it makes a perfect complement to them (as does Minecraft). Download is free. Why not give it a go? Can't hurt, and you might find you like it very much. Took me a while to remaster the controls (and reprogram 'em to suit me), but eventually it becomes second nature.
If you do decide to download, I recommend not the official Bethesda DL but http://theelderscrolls.wiwiland.net/?title=Daggerfall_:_DaggerfallSetup_EN, which is pre-packaged to include DOSbox, extra content, and additional fixes. Very easy to install. This download has been mentioned here numerous times. So far as I can tell Beth is kosher with it.
