I'm about six or seven months into running a tabletop RP set in the Elder Scrolls universe. (4E 171 to be precise.) As a DM I try to make all my characters that I play in Skyrim part of the experience (even though timelines won't fit). I haven't had any issues producing characters in Skyrim and adapt them to the RP, so far they have been shaped around playstyles I like or want to try in the game but... I've reached a hurdle - the Vampire.
All I know is that I want to play a vampire that is skilled like sorcerers were in Oblivion - heavy armour and conjuration. Being undead I'll go for necromancy over atronach. But what I cannot decide is vampiric heritage. A volkihar or a cyrodillic socialite? Or perhaps even a dunmer?
What's the story behind your vampires, vampire lords and so on? When were they born, when were they embraced and why?
