Making a Startup cheat.

O.K. I know in the Sims series you can make a Startup cheat with Word that turns on cheats that you want to run when the game is fired up. My question is can that also be done in Fallout 3 and Oblivion? If so anyone care to drop a hint on how? I know how to make one but not sure if it'll run with Steam.

If you just want to instantly add a few items to your inventory when you start the game you can type up a batch file in Notepad or Word with the commands you want to use. Save it and place the file in your Fallout 3 folder. Start your game and open the console with the ` key and type bat

I run one at the start of each new game to set the traders and a few other people essential so I named my file "essential". I start my game and type batessential

More about console commands and batch files at http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_console_commands.
