Topic pretty much says it all. Aliens and the weird odds and ends aside is the basic idea behind fallout's universe scientfically possible as far as we understand today?

What would happen to the Ozone and weather systems of that many nuclear weapons went off one after another? Stuff like that.

nope, just for starters...mutation like in the game just doesn't happen.

Most stuff in the games is based about 50's science and not around facts we know today.
