Help with a mod conflict

Post » Wed Oct 03, 2012 7:52 am

I've got a mod conflict going on, as these screenshots show: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/TaliaKirana/Morrowind/Morrowind002.png, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v697/TaliaKirana/Morrowind/Morrowind003.png I know what's conflicting, Bloodmoon Landscape Overhaul and Princessstomper's Homes to Let.... but I have no clue how to fix it. If it wasn't such a major tear I'd ignore it, but that I can't. Could somebody help me with a compatability patch?

It looks like those two mods just conflict on the LAND (landscape) record for cell: (-22, 17).
I don't know how important the landscape editing is for Homes to Let, but maybe deleting that record (Enchanted Editor or tes3cmd can do that) would remove the tear.

John's method is the easiest, and quickest. You might have to do some clean up around the house that PrincessStomper adds, if the Land changes were important to the mod working.

But you can also just load them together in the CS and smooth out the land on the Homes to Let.esp until it's not conflicting with the Landscape.esm
Probably the best way to get the aesthetic results you want.

Problem is, I've never done any landscaping. My experience with the CS is limited to merging some mods and tinkering with armor stats. (And that was just to change some modded armor from Heavy to Medium. Oh, and strip out the reference to Dark Brotherhood armor from Divine Domina so I could use a different replacer for it.)

TR has a good Landscape tutorial: http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/?p=modding_data/tutorials§ion=251365
You'll probably only need the "Editing Raw Landscape' section.

Just mess around in the CS for awhile until you get the hang of it, and then exit without saving before you start your real edits.
It's not as hard as it looks :)
