Alright, title is simple, who is better?

I'll start.

NCR:

Has guns
Uses technology
Intelligent
1st Recon
Rangers
Me


Legion:

Wannabe Romans
Melee
Good armour

I Would have to say NCR, I will never be a slave, roman wannabe or simply a [censored] faction lol you missed on thing of the NCR list. (Falloutmike33) lol I dont agree with all NCR doings but I suppot them.

The Legion is better and in real life would be more likely to win, in my opinion. Why? My comparisons:

NCR:

• Republic (therefore weak - too much indecisiveness as is visible in all republics)
  
• Wants control ultimately for the same reasons as the Legion, but does it by deceit and silver tongue
  
• Yes, they have guns. So what? The Legion has mass numbers, savagery, etc

Legion:

• Autocratic monarchical government with a strong leader - monarchies are better than republics
  
• Wants control and will do anything to get it
  
• They have savage warriors with Roman culture. Remember that the Romans were the most successful and expansive empire in history - if you're going to try to take over, adopting Roman culture, strategy, and philosophy would be the way to do it.
  
• Brutality - they strike fear into the hearts of their enemies with brutal warriors, crucifixion of enemies, fearsome outfit, brutal weapons, etc

Yes but I have to say, they would stand no chance with NCR being beter equiped. Numbers dont matter if they are all being mowed down. pluss if the NCR wanted they could push threw them, since they cannot defend a possision at all, there not equiped for it. I would have to say in real life they stood no chance. There troops are also not even trained to make desisions. when one leader falls the rest fall behind him due to not being able to think as an individual.

Legion has:
Better tactics
Guns
High morale
Organised military

NCR has:
Corruption
Wannabe soldiers
Stupid leadership

Ammunition doesn't last forever. Look at how the Legion overruns Hoover Dam if you side with the Legion. The NCR had the firepower, but the Legion had the better strategy and mass numbers, along with the ability to instill fear into the hearts of their enemies.

Lol whoever you side with wins. and again, there statergy only lasts untill a higher up dies, then theres no orders and allot of confused men. and the guns go to NCR not the legion. I would hate a world filled with slaves and a [censored] boss who is nuts. the romans died of for a reason, they failed.

Note there tactics is what lost them the dam the first time (yes they were close but close only counts in horseshoes, frag gernades, plasma gernades, pulse gernades and mini nukes), there too greedy and savage to relize there are such things as traps.

This is a post by Style's very smart post The NCR is alot stronger.

1st: The NCR would have easily won the first battle of Hoover Dam as we learned in Honest Hearts from Joshua Graham. If it weren't for what happened at the Divide.

2nd: The NCR isn't even actively fighting the Legion. The NCR in the Mojave is more of a police force/border guard then an active military at war. Their plan is to contain the Legion not take it out.

3rd: The NCR is the largest faction in the known wasteland. It goes from Baja Mexico in the south to southern Oregon in the North, and as far east as Reno Nevada. Their greatest advantage, their numbers.

4th: The NCR manufactures weapons and ammo and has doctors that use real medicine.

5th: They have howitzers and Vertibirds (where there is one there is more).

6th: This goes back to having a large area and not wanting to fight the Legion. The Government has their best troops such as their Rangers out "chasing ghosts in Baja" and protecting brahmin.

7th: NCR has taken out Navarro and is winning against the Brotherhood of Steel, they sent a whole chapter underground
