I think they should release an expansion to SKYRIM on that date!

I hope they seriously reconsider their position on DLC before that date, too. I think we'd all rather have something like The Shivering Isles and a few scattered mini addons than the pocket-sized adventure packs of Fallout 3. Not that those were particularly bad, but they always seemed to end just short of actually feeling complete, whereas SI was.. well, it was wonderful.

If they do nothing before 12-12-12 for Skyrim except maybe a title update of some sort and release something of the vein that Shivering Isles, Bloodmoon and Tribunal sat along a year from release, that'd be perfect.

That would work out great, seeing as it'll be released on my birthday. :celebration: :cake:

But yeah, I'd just prefer full on expansions to Skyrim rather than Fallout sized DLCs.

That would be the most amazing birthday in history.

I'd say it's a little early to be thinking about addons for the game, I mean, we don't even know what's in the game yet! Still, I hope Bethesda decides to do a proper expansion for Skyrim, I'd rather have one expansion on the scale of Shivering Isles, Tribunal or Bloodmoon then many small DLC packs, not that I really hold anything against the concept of DLC in itself, but a plugin even on the scale of Point Lookout simply can't add as much to the game as a full expansion can, and even enough DLC packs to provide as much content as a full expansion still wouldn't be as satisfactory as the expansion since it would all be short, disjointed adventures that have little or no connection to each other, each having its own quests and content, and while they could still potentially be good, I doubt they could be as engaging as a full expansion could be. And the combined price of all that DLC would probably cost more than a full expansion would.

I really don't care what date it would be released at, though. Bethesda should release it when it's ready, if they need more time then a 12-12-12 release date would grant, then they should take that. Really, if Bethesda feels they need more time for Skyrim, I'd rather it be delayed and lose the clever release date then get released with serious issues that could have been avoided had they pushed back the release a bit, or worse, content that was cut because they did not have time to finish it and still make the release date. Not that I'm saying the game should be delayed, no sense in delaying the release if it doesn't need to be delayed, I'm only saying that if Bethesda needs more time, I'd rather get the game later but have it be the game it should be then get it earlier at the expense of quality or content.

An expansion a month after the game's released? That's pushing it a bit.
