Vampire-Hybrid

Post » Mon Oct 08, 2012 2:26 pm

Besides the grey prince are there any other vampire human hybrids. If I recall correctly his skin tone was paler than that of an average Orc. Do vampire-human hybrids actually have a form of the disease? Can hybrids live longer lifespans? Can hybrids infect others and what would "pure" vampires/ Molag bal think of them.

The Gray Prince is not a vampire-human hybrid. He's an Orc with a light skin complexion. He has no vampire powers or weaknesses, does not feed on blood, and is not undead or ageless.

He is a hybrid from the standpoint that his father was a Vampiric nobleman, who was in fact a vampire when the Gray Prince was conceived. It is assumed that the Gray Prince's unusually pale complexion is due to his father's vampirism. To what extent his legendary strength, speed, and battlefield prowess comes from his dad's vampirism is up for debate though since the Gray Prince is, afterall, an Orc.

As for the rest of the OP's questions, I really can't answer them. I'm not sure anyone knows those answers, the Gray Prince is kind of an outlier, and as far as I know he's one of a kind in any Elder Scrolls game or lore.

How do we know it was his vampirism? Why couldn't it be because his father was human?

Race, true. I don't recall anything about complexion however. Offspring can definitely take on minor traits from their fathers too.

unless there is a disease or injury.

Source? I've never read anything about that.

I think you might have interpreted what he meant wrongly. Or I maybe I did, he'll tell us which (if either) of us are right I guess. What I believe he meant was that a disease or injury could actually be the reason for his pale skin.
