Simple way to decode HTML coded names

Post » Wed Oct 10, 2012 5:26 am

I found this out today. Maybe you all know this already but here it is.
You see a player named >|Brittany|< on a server

Copy and paste the name into http://c2stats.com/ and search
When the search completes you will see a green check mark before the name but you will not be able see the Stats

Refresh your browser and then a second name appears below the original name as shown http://c2stats.com/any/players/find_%3E|Brittany|%3C

Note: Since I already did the search it shows your 1st search with the final results already.

Now this player name was only used as an example. Please do not take this a any kind of accusation.
I don't think it will work on all names but it did work on this one

Yes, first it shows >|Brittany|< then it says that first player is found. But it's not working with some other nicks with html symbols...

PS. could this be more useful? http://code.cside.com/3rdpage/us/entity/converter.html
