Crysis 1 Direct X 10 issue

Post » Sun Oct 14, 2012 3:13 am

Hi all ... I bought Crysis today and this is the first time I played the game ... It is AWESOME. Don;t know how I missed it when it was released. Anyway I'm running a windows 7, I5 , 8GB RAM, XFX HD4850. When I start the game it will freeze when the first mission starts. You see the people in the air and it will say press any key to continue. When you press the key the music will and the PC loads ( I can see HDD activity ) and then everything FREEZE !! I fugured out that it was running DX10. So I changed the shortcut on the desktop and added -dx9 now the game will run fine for an hour or 2 and then it will freeze. I have the latest Video drivers etc . I do no know what version I'm running of Crysis1. Downloaded it from Origin today

I'm not sure, but it doesn't hurt to update them ;) Just download the correct OS versions from Microsoft.
