Sequel to New Vegas?

Post » Sun Oct 14, 2012 11:43 pm

Is there one planned? I know there was that big legal battle between the two companies; but New vegas was amazing. I would love to see a sequel to it in another city. Either in the East with the Legion or in the West with the NCR. New Vegas was the first Fallout game I've played and I read that it wasn't a direct sequel to Fallout, but a new addition to Fallout 3? Is that true? I personally love Obsidian games and would rather see them make a new Fallout than the original Fallout producers. That's just my opinion however. Seeing how it's been two years since New Vegas was released, and there has been no announcement for a new one, I'm kind of wondering if they are making a new one. Does anyone know if they are? I really hope so.

Currently we know nothing about the next Fallout. But, there are a many discussions on it in the Fallout Universe section.

Keep in mind Bethesda did not make Fallout New Vegas, Obsidian did.

There was no big legal battle between Obsidian and Bethesda. It was between Interplay and Bethesda and Bethesda won. Bethesda has the full rights to all things Fallout. Bethesda hired Obsidian to make New Vegas. Obsidian is made up of alot of people that worked on the orginal Fallout's and the cancelled Fallout 3 aka Van Buren.

Fallout New Vegas isn't an addition to Fallout 3. New Vegas is it's own game and has next to nothing to do with Fallout 3. New Vegas is more of a unofficial sequel to Fallout 2. Fallout 2 is the direct sequel to Fallout. Fallout 3 despite the 3 next to it's name isn't a direct sequel to Fallout 2.

I hope one day Bethesda hires Obsidian again to make another game. Also I suggest you play Fallout, Fallout 2 and Fallout Tactics :fallout:

Thank you, that's what I meant by the way. I got them mixed up.

Thanks! And I know it wasn't between Obsidian and Bethesda, I just forgot Interplay's name. But thanks for the info and suggestion, it clears things up now.
