so I tossed in my copy of crysis 2 again and figured I'd beat it again. Problem is.. when I reinstalled it and went to play I noticed my frame rate is awful.. I don't remember if it was like that before or not. I don't ever remember having to tweak settings but as it is right now if I put it on Ultra and Dx11 along with high resolution pack and 2560X1440 monitor I get 15 frames just standing there inside. Umm what?! Is that scaling that bad? Maybe before I had it set to just high or something but I do not think that seems right considering the power these cards have.

Um there's a problem with the crossfire thingy, not sure what it is. Other people from the community should know.

For crossfire or sli u must have both cards the same!!! otherwise will not working, also this game have f*** better optimisation(stupid crytek) for nvidia card.

Between 2560X1440 and 1920x1200 isnt such big difference in fps :/

A possible solution for your crossfire problems is that its having the power saver problem, what is happening if this is the case is that when the second card is not in use it goes to sleep, and its supposed to wake up when your running games, but it doesn't. if this is whats going on you need to go into your registry and and edit "enableULPS" from 1 to 0, this will disable the power saver and the second card wont go to sleep. i did this and it solved all my frame rate issues, because when that second card isnt working the game is trying to use it but it wont respond so it bogs down the working card and you will get worse performance than if your just running a sing card. i hope this helps you, good luck. although with the mismatch cards i dont know if that will work, that 6990 is actually 2 6970's on one board so you really have 3 GPU's there, but crossfire will support 4 cards so im not sure if it would view it as triple crossfire or not. good luck, and let me know if that works for you im curious now.
