Cry Engine 3 vs other nextgen engines

I have watched both Unreal engine 4 and Square_Enix final fantasy engine promo videos witch were both unimpressive and Cryteck has already outdone them with Crysis 2. I cant wait to see what other games that will use cry engine 3.

Squeenix fantasy engine was very impressive IMO.

UE4 is in no way superior to CryEngine 3, but its particle effects are REALLY good and it's no slouch in other areas either.

I disagree. the graphics in the the final fantasy engine demo have nowhere near the detail that we have already seen in crysis 2.

game devs have already had hands on with Cry Engine 3 for a few years now so games will be better because they're already years ahead on development. replay halo 3 (or even crysis 1 that ran on the old Cry Engine 2) to see how far graphics will come with a couple years of work put into them.

i loaded up halo 3 the other day and was like. geeez...i used to play this crap lol. and look at todays games to see how far they have come.

In one interview, a CryTek developer actually said that the UE4 engine is only getting tech that the cryengine had 5 years ago.
