"Original Akaviri Bas Reliefs"

Is there any lore or monkeytruth on what the carved panels dotting Sky Haven Temple are supposed to be? http://i.imgur.com/HUsZw.jpg

It has a human face, but it doesn't look like any human race we've seen-- its arms are too long and spindly looking, and I see a cobra-like hood around the head and scales on its chest. More importantly, it seems to lack any obvious legs. Could this be a Tsaesci, and a hint that Bethesda hasn't completely abandoned the vampire snake men angle? Or else, maybe some Akaviri guardian spirit or deity?

Looks like a headless warrior to me, holding a sword downward into a fire.

Kind of looks like a dragon skull too, but there's too much going on around it for that to be the case probably.

Ask Esbern.

The style is very similar to the figures carved in the Halls of Stories in Nordic tombs.

It looks interesting, for sure. I just can't make out what it is. It's a lot like a Rorschach blot thing :P
