Something that was done well in the Elder Scrolls that usual

They managed to progress the lore drastically without alienating their fan base.

The Thalmor, Assassination of the emperor, The Dumer getting their homeland [censored] by nature and Argonians, and the Empire crumbling. There are more, but I just can't think of them.

Usually games fall flat and end up svcking ass, such as Fable, when they go and try to progress the story, but surprisingly TES done it well I feel. Maybe it's because of the stasis of technology in the universe. Bethesda know people want the Elder Scrolls to be a fantasy game, and I don't see them changing it any time soon.

The most Technologically advanced race were the Dwemer, and even they were well written and interesting.

But mainly, TES games have a good progression I feel.

I agree. I like Fable - but it does feel a little too Victorian at times. A lot of people were upset when they nuked Morrowind but we've grown to accept it. The community of people surrounding TES is a very interesting group. I wonder if anyone has ever done any demographic work on us...?

Anyway, yes.

Mainland Morrowind is, but the Argonian's took most of it. Like 5% of Vvardenfell (Where Morrowind took place) is inhabitable. And The Nords game Solstheim to the Dunmer.

So really, the only place where the Dunmer live is Solstheim now.

People say this, but I don't believe this at all. I think basically all of Morrowind is inhabited by Dunmer right now, besides most of Vvardenfell and the southern-most parts of the mainland. When we go to Solstheim again, the Dunmer we see are the ones that have been established on the island and haven't moved back. Everything in Skyrim says to me that the Argonians did not take Morrowind, they bounced after they got revenge.

About Morrowind/Vvardenfell, I think the eruption and its aftermath still weren't enough to make an island uninhabitable after two centuries. A Dunmer in Windhelm talks about planning to return home. Vvardenfell's wounds aren't permanent, they're being mended in these very moments (so to speak).
