Stock Class Runoff

Post » Thu Mar 04, 2010 11:53 pm

This list was made by taking the three most popular choices from each category (combat, magic, stealth). Interestingly, the three "pure" classes each made the list. So if you HAD to play a stock class, which fate would YOU choose?

I've just started an imperial warrior so i chose 'warrior', i did alter the class slightly to include illusion and marksman but could happily use the default warrior class if i had to.

Mage is also a good default class, i always drop restoration for marksman but could live with the default class.

If, at arrowpoint, I was forced to play a stock class, I would have to choose between the magey marksman that is the witchhunter or the stealthy marksman that is the agent. Ah, searching for a mystic archer. The witchhunter having both sneak and alchemy as majors would level at a sickenly fast pace for me. The agent is only somewhat better with sneak as a major. Ultimately, my vote went for the agent because of their skill with both bow and illusion, and because it might be a tad easier to try and level properly.

Oh thank Mara for custom classes. :P

I don't think it's too hard to guess which is my favorite.

Hint: Look at my screen-name.

I just finished a premade Assassin character. After playing this character to level 35 I've come to the conclusion that there is nothing wrong with the premade classes.

You're welcome, but, really, you should thank Sheogorath and Julianos. :-)

Meh, why isn't Nightblade in the list? My first character ever was a Bosmer Nightblade. Those were the days...

Hee hee hee, it doesn't seem to matter, does it? Duplicate threads are all over the place at this site.

I always play custom classes. I really have no idea which one of those I'd pick if I absolutely had to. Somewhere between warrior and mage, depending on the character. Maybe theif. See, I'm undecided.

I play custom classes since the default ones have redundant skill choices in some cases and its harder to control your leveling. Thay being said I like spellsword the most

tie between scout and thief (I voted thief though) I also love the nightblade, but I prefer pure classes.

The only pure class I could do is mage since you can use all schools and a pure mage is the most powerful thing in the gamme but that's no fun. Pure warrior is redundant with blade blunt and hand to hand. Thief has mercantile and speechcraft which are pretty useless.
