But the good news: I won the fight... barely. Accursed thing ambushed me. I heard the explosion sound of a nearby fight and saw two red power suits in a fight, but couldn't see the enemy. Then it went quiet. Thank goodness, because that's where I had to go. I see one of the bodies and was about to loot it when my HUD displayed [DANGER]. I was hit twice and my HP dropped more than 50%. I turned around and there it was. Nasty thing as the HUD displayed "Deathclaw".

Any idea of how to remove stains from undergarments in the Wasteland?

If I get attacked by two of these at the same time, I'm running. One was bad enough, but more than that will be a stupid fight to get into.

And this was vanilla. If the game's giving me any advice it's that "Yeah, you just wait until you see one that's not vanilla, kid. You should have stayed in the vault."


This claw is awesome! It may have low damage points, but it's going through victims faster than Fisto! ever did. I don't know why it's so strong, but I'm utterly floored how effective it is. And to think I only made it to see what it looked like.

I'm not sure it was my first Deathclaw encounter, but I once went through Old Olney and it's sewers to get something special.

Deathclaws, Deathclaws everywhere. One part shooter, five parts survival horror.

I've never gotten so much use out of the combat shotgun, at point-blank it was really effective. And really scary, those things are freaky up close. Thankfully power armour can really take a beating.

It was kind of fun though, and definitely worth the trip.

Way back when I was in my first play through, I was escaping Raven Rock and stumbled right into the Deathclaw Sanctuary. I went to get the Endurance bobblehead because I'd heard it was there. It was horrible, I remember that. Not much else I recall from my first encounter.
