Help with frame rate issues on the 360, also some questions

Post » Sat Oct 27, 2012 2:49 am

First off, this is my first post here. I've been a long fan of Elder Scrolls Lore/Games for a 6 years now, but only just got into the forums. Better late than never I guess.. but these forums are friendly, better than others I've been on. x)

So.. Morrowind. I have it for the Xbox ( a new 360) and the frame rate is unbearably awful. Making the game lag. But I love the game and the lore. Right now I'm exploring Vivec as part of the main quest. It's so interesting to be so into Oblivion & Skyrim, and to actually go back in time in a different province.
However, aside from the frame rate, the other issue I have is the journal. I took a break from Morrowind after I was killed trying to find my third contact in Vivec. My game wasn't saved.. So now, I really want to start playing again today. But I've actually kinda lost track of what I'm doing, and while the Journal is not all that bad, it's hard for me to remember exactly what I've found out and where I'm going.

To conclude this silly thread, is there any advice that you guys can give to help me explore Vivec, track my quests, and deal with the frame rate?
I realise that the PC version is MUCH superior to the xbox, but I don't have access to a good enough computer.

Never owned an Xbox so I'm not sure how to help you there. But as far as tracking quests goes, you should be able to open up your journal, go to an "options" menu within it, and there you should be able to click "quests" to get an overview of the quests you have. Clicking any quest should bring all the updates on that particular quest up for you all bundled together. Also if you're looking for something specific you might have heard about in a dialogue then instead of clicking "quests" you can click "topics" and search for example for C - Caius Cosaides if you were ever looking for him.

This feature however was not in the base game but came with the Tribunal expansion if memory serves me right.

Do u have the expansions? Because ive heard preexpansion morrowind journal was a cluster [censored] but after the expansion the changes they made made the journal bearable. But either way, like the poster above staged, go into options and click on the quest u need to know where ur at.

The Xbox version does not have the improved Journal that the PC does.

There's nothing we can really do to help you.
Get a pen and paper and take a lot of notes to help you.
You can check the interactive map to help you navigate Vivec, or any other areas: http://www.uesp.net/maps/mwmap/mwmap.shtml
