If you're not using a Steam version then you're using an illegal, pirated version and will receive no support here.

The same way you would otherwise. New Vegas uses Steam regardless if it's disc or digital.

If the answer is anything other than "Bought it from gamesas/store that sells games" then nobody here can help you. What you have in that case is an illegal copy. Every legitimate copy of Fallout: New Vegas is activated, installed and run through Steam, whether purchased in retail or through Steam itself.

If you don't have a version running through Steam, you've got a pirated copy. If you pirate the game then you don't deserve any support.

Dear God stop pirating pc games. This is why all the big name publishers (Rockstar...) focus most of their efforts on consule gaming. They think half of the pc crowd pirate games, and people like you just feed this suspicion.

That's NOT normal, especially since Steam will install to those folders without asking if you want to change folders. And before you ask, my version of New Vegas is retail.

In fact, looking through your topics, it seems like many of your problems may come from the fact that your game is pirated (if it is, indeed, so.)

If you pirated it, why not just buy it legitamately? It's about $30 off of Steam for the ultimate edition.
