{REQUEST} Daedric Princes?

Post » Tue Oct 30, 2012 3:55 pm

I was wondering if anybody would be interesting in tackling the creation of the Daedric Princes. Models and textures and animation?

I think it would be a very welcomed asset to the game and would open possibilities for many awesome mods. [Currently All I know of for a Daedric Prince creature model is Antares Mehrunes Dagon, then there is Azura and Hircine.]

Unique creatures for Molag Bal, Boethiah, Vaermina, Sheogorath, Mephala, Meridia, Sanguine, Malacath, Nocturnal, Peryite, and Hermaeus Mora, and Clavicus Vile, would be amazing. Though, I personally only like Molag Bal, Sheogorath, and Sanguine.

Just a suggestion or thought.

We have all been wanting this for years. But it's a lot of work... a lot.
Antares would probably be the person to do this huge task, but no one has even attempted it yet.

I also think that only the Princes mentioned in vanilla MW should be considered first... to fit into the vanilla game much easier. (which means no Meridia, Peyrite, Clavicus, etc)
Any others would require an entire quest to be made for them also.

Personally I think Molag Bal should get attention first. He's got a lot more attention quest wise in Vanilla Morrowind and he is a great candidate for a new storyline for some mod! :D A great Villain!! :D

I imagine something like this will eventually come around. I was just mentioning to Melchior a week or two ago on his Mageographic thread the shared desire we have to see some manifestation of the Outer Realms in Morrowind. I have no experience modding Morrowind, but I'd like to see something eventually, by my hand or not. Using the Oblivion realms like Sul (from the novels) did to cross vast distances, forming pacts with various daedric princes to receive special privileges like exclusive summons, and even exploring new world spaces set in the daedric realms have all crossed my mind at one point or another.

A project like this would be a natural forerunner to such possible further expansions. So I definitely approve.

Always wanted clavicus. Think his shrine would be great located in a secret chamber under the house of earthly delight's in Suran. (the place with the dancers)

Wouldn't Sanguine be more fitting for the Dancer's club? Sanguine is the Prince of the party life after all.

ALL: I actually would do this myself however my talent lies in fashion and architecture. I am no good with animations and or organic creatures. unfortunately.

Would absolutely like to see this, but as stated it could be a lot of work. Though if done very simply, a couple could be done simply by making some new clothes for new NPCs.

Boethiah for instance often resembles a Dark Elf in Daedric armor with a cape (VERY easy to mock up, but not very unique), the old design of Sheogorath (pre-SI) was pretty simple as the banker and I've seen mods get him pretty close with vanilla MW assets.

But obviously to do the princes justice, they'd have to have unique models, textures, and animations. Anteres is the only one I know of who's tackled such a task so far for MW. And did a bloody fine job of it too.

As to daedric realms, I want them all :D

He does a fantastic job with his work! His Mehrunes Dagon was perfection itself!! I'd love to see what he could do with Molag Bal. Please ignore my Molag Bal obsession. . . i'm overdoing it with his name. . . shutting up now. xD
