Crysis 2 and Windows 8

Post » Tue Oct 30, 2012 8:58 pm

Hey all,

I have been running the Windows 8 Consumer Preview for the last few weeks, and like many of you, I also get that annoying "resolution undefined" bug when I try to start the game in DX11.

With the full version of Windows 8 out now, I was wondering: can you run Crysis 2 in DX11 without any problems, and have any of you tested this personally?

I'm just curious, as I'm thinking about upgrading, and wanted to know if this has finally been resolved.

Thanks!

Just curious, as with many other games you can set your resolution in your launch options; Has this been attempted with Crysis 2?

^So far, in all attempts, it just breaks with DX11, as do some other apps. I'm very curious to try the latest nVidia beta (http://secure.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40&t=51948 ), but not curious enough to reload Win8. ;)

Haha, I gave those drivers a shot and it unfortunately didn't help Crysis 2 wise...

I'm very curious as to whether the full version fixed this problem though. Anyone out there with a copy want to chime in? :)
