Compared to the more local heroes of the COC and even the Nerever, the dragonborn may have inter-provincial fame in the future purely due to his similarity to the founder of the imperial empire and the much-disputed god, Tiber septim. So do you think there will be significant mention of the dovakiin in future tes games?

We'll hear mention certainly, but nothing concrete or solid and the Dragonborn is extremely unlikely to make an appearance. For the same reason can't become Emperor. Considering the choices of races, gender and appearence, the would either have to incoporate an import system or declare that the Dragonborn was a male nord regardless of everyones choice.

Emporer is quite an interesting one....I for one think that will come to pass.

As for the logic of race etc

You never actually see them so they wouldnt have to worry about that
When talking about them they would just be referred to as "the dragonborn emporer"
If there descendants appear in later games as long as it is the grandchild or below (due to the Childs race being determined solely by the mother in tes) they could decide the race

Like who? Also, there's no way I can see that the Empire would allow an Emperor that wasn't an Imperial, let alone human. Considering the outcome of the war with the Thalmor, A High Elf would never be allowed for example. Yet a high Elf would still be accepted long before a Khajit or Argonion.




That's about the worst work around idea I've ever heard. So basically they'll say that even though players might have had a khajjit character, because they had a nord daughter in law, then their grandson was Nord?

Not to mention, that interbreeding between the beast races and other races may not even be possible.

Plus, I've seen nothing that indicates that Dragonborn capability is even passed down generations or even related to the Dragoonbloods of the Septim line. After all, Neither Uriel or Martin used shouts, nor for that matter any of the line after Talos himself.

the heir thing would probably come in to play when the dragonborn bids for the throne, and seeing how fanatical some people are about talos I'm sure they would be eager for any connection


it's a commonly known fact that in the tes world the race of a child is soley due to the race of a mother I.e if the argonian dragonborn had a nord daughter in law he WILL have a nord grandchild

And again, how is the Empire going to accept a non-Imperial? A few fanatics aren't going to sway the majority.


I know how the TES genetics supposedly work with regards to children.

I just think it's a terrible and lazy way of shoehorning in an Emperor related to the Dragonborn.

if im not mistaken there was a dunmer emporer and a bosmer or breton emporer as well.

Also id like to point out that i dont believe that every emporer was dragonborn because tiber septim created the empire but he and his sons died out to where the emporers are actually from tiber septims uncle or brother's bloodline. The amulet of kings didnt need dragonsouls, it needed souls of a king, hence why martin was able to use it and we the hero of kvatch was not able to.
