The Kalpic Cycle

Do we know precisely how the kalpic cycle in Tamriel works? When Alduin eats the world and ushers in the new kalpa, is he necessarily resetting to the very beginning of the creation of the Mundus?

I ask because I've been looking at Tamriel's timeline, and I'm having trouble finding a place to wedge in the Dragon Cult, or the Dreugh Empire mentioned in the Mythic Dawn Commentaries. However, we do see evidence of these in the forms of "kalpic remnants" like the degenerated, mindless dreugh, or Umaril's father, who was a god from a previous kalpa. Even when Alduin resets creation, in other words, the events of previous kalpas still remain in the consciousness of the mortal races even after they've been devoured. So my thought is, could it be that when Alduin eats the world, he's simply extending the chaos of the Dawn Era into that time?

Therefore, every time he resets the cycle, new events are added to the Dawn which causes different outcomes for when time finally crystallizes and becomes linear. All of the previous kalpas occur simultaneously, yet also precede and follow from each other because time has no meaning yet. And all this chaos and strife becomes a fertile ground for new races or cultures to emerge supreme, stake a claim, and form dynasties in Tamriel proper, at least until the cycle resets once again.

What do you think, am I on to something here?

Well with the appetite that Dragon has, it's no wonder he eventually breaks. Yes, I think you're on to something. Let's see if the others do so too.
