Alternate MQ

As I've worked to get this going, I've had some difficulty nailing down the general flow of events, as I want them to unfold. A problem I keep running into is that find myself wanting to just get to the Trials (the ones the Ashlanders put you through) and then the assault on Red Mountain, because that's the most exciting part to me, and seems like the most logical step for the powers that be to take. Dagoth Ur is going to break out sooner or later, and the sooner he's dealt with, the better, I think. So it makes sense to move quickly once the Elder Scrolls give indication of someone possibly being the Nerevarine. Get them out of prison, send them to Morrowind, have the Ashlanders put them to the test, see if they can withstand corprus, then wage war on Loincloth Man because now it might work. Perhaps I think too logically? Perhaps.

Anyway, this has led me to try to decide between two options:

a ) Literally make my alternate MQ that freaking simple (though not necessarily short).

b ) Go a little crazy and advance the timetable for the Oblivion Crisis (with some adjustments, obviously), which is also pretty simple, but since we're in Morrowind, has room to be made complicated.

I'm leaning towards option B, but I'd like to hear from others about this.
