Name: Saal Aeroth
Race: Altmer
Gender: M
Class: Archaeologist

Skills:
Blunt
Light Armor
Alchemy
Acrobatics

Weapons
Iron Broadsword
Armor/Clothing
An ancient pair of rough leather boots, a coarse brown vest, and a cloak that might've once been a vivid shade of green.

Physical Appearance:
Saal has careworn green eyes and dull gray hair, as he is over three centuries old. He is 6'2", but he tends to stoop and looks shorter.

Personality:
Saal has experienced much, but ultimately feels much of his life has been wasted. He cares strongly for anyone he finds affection for, but those people are few and far between these days. Perhaps not so much depressed as cynical, Saal is bitter over his lost opportunities.

Bio:
Saal was once a respected member of the Imperial Archaeological Society, having a particular fascination with the Ayleid. He has also explored many ruins of the Dwemer (including Kemel-Ze), and jokingly claims to be of their blood due to the time he spends underground. Though not well known for many of his exploits, he considers himself well learned, and he keeps his mind sharp despite a failing body. Saal was trapped in the Imperial City after investigating rumors of an Ayleid ruin beneath the city, but he never did mount an expedition. Saal is one of the few who has known the city as it once was, though he is not respected as an elder because he refuses to adapt.

Misc:
Saal was born under the sign of the apprentice, making him critically weak against magical attacks but his pool of magicka is quite large. Saal is loosely affiliated with the Guild of Mages.

A frail and elderly Altmer listened to the whole affair, watching the strong Redguard intimidate the publican. Julius was right of course; if they were to escape the city the route would lie beneath them. What lurked in the sewers, however, were repugnant in his youth, and their evils would only grow in the devilry plaguing the city. The Redguard could obviously handle himself. He was unsure of the Breton or the Argonian. In any case, he'd much prefer the latter as company. Would they all be going down?

"Er... Er... Twenty gold. Yes, twenty gold is all I'll require. You're a guest after all, no reason to be rude, right?"

Saal Aeroth looked up at the stammering publican. He had no pity for the man, despite having known him for all his life. Still, who were these hooded men who frightened him so? Saal pondered the possibilities, though it wasn't long before his thoughts were interrupted by a boisterous voice.

''Well well, if it ain't good ole Omen. Haha! So you're coming on this right? Nice man, nice. Hey y'know what? How 'bout we get a drink? I'm payin'! That little rat over there is wrapped round my little finger!''

Saal looked around the inn. Every stone in it was known to him. Would he really let himself stagnate further? Would he really let himself wither and die here? At that moment, Saal became resolute. He would join whatever group was venturing into the sewers. It would be worth it if it meant even the possibility for one breath of fresh air. He got up from the bench and moved up to the counter, but made no motion to attract the publican's attention. Out of the corner of his eye, he watched the warriors.

OOC: Alright guys. While I would like to have some more people here, this is enough to start as long as no one drops out. Maybe we'll get a few more when the actual rp thread comes up. Regardless, I'd like for you guys to wrap up any loose ends here so that I can post up the rp thread. You may do this in any way you please, whether that means getting dead drunk, going to sleep, or whatever. Have fun!
