You can find buyable houses in each city (one house per major town)

You can't buy Mark/Recall spells as there are no such spells in Oblivion. Try looking for mods adding these spells.

Hi and welcome.

You can buy a house at any major city, the cheapest being it the Imperial City for 2000 and the most expensive (but the biggest) being in Skingrad for 20000 I think. Mark and Recall is not implemented in Oblivion but you can fast travel. There may be some mods for Mark and Recall if your on PC. By the way, you can't get mods for the XBOX version, sorry.

Best wishes

Note that most containers are not safe storage since they respawn after three days but there are some exceptions.

You mean the "overflow bag"? No, you won't get it anymore. The only possibilites to store stuff safely are:
- Player owned houses, the containers there don't repawn
- Some rare non-respawning containers, like the hollow tree stump in a backyard in the Imperial City Market district or those "Torn sack of grain".
- There is also a list of http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion_talk:Containers#Other_.27Safe.27_Containers.

There are three grain sacks outside Palonyria's shop in the Imperial City. I use all three sacks, until I can afford a home. This is safe storage for me all game long. In fact, any open-topped grain sack will be safe storage. I obviously make a save, when storing items anyway.

Technologically its possible to make them

But if Microsoft catches you doing it they will hire a squad of South American mercenaries to do a home invasion and gang [censored] your family members with trained german shepards
