I don't like clunking around, feeling like my character is about to explode like a can of biscuits left in the car on a hot summer day.

I like the aesthetics of a lot of the power armor in :fallout: ; it's kind of klunky and scuffed and 50's looking, and the Outcasts just painted 'em red.
But I'm just tired of Power Armor in games, it's just everywhere. I pretty much use Ranger or whatever I can get from raiders or a Duster, just for aesthetic reasons.
My play style is stealthy, so my armor progression usually goes Armored Vault Suit, to Leather, to Combat Armor, to Ranger Battle Armor. But I will wear Power Armor from time to time, like when I'm making an assault on a place, or I want to make a statement like "I'm here to kick your...". If I have it, the T 51b is my PA of choice. I never wear the Brotherhood or the normal Enclave armor though. Ranger Armor is just better.
I remember when I first played through the game. As soon as I saw the outcasts patroling I killed them and took their armor, and soon realized I couldn't wear it yet. Through most of my game I used the outcast power armor, then the tesla armor, then hellfire. And now I like to wear the standard enclave power armor, even though it is kinda weak, it looks cool.
Would be great for my characters to wear power armor but problem for me is the weight, as I don't use any companions I need to be as light as poss to carry loot back to base, and I'm a huge hoarder too, been out in the Winterised T51b once, it was fun and may try it again sometime.
For most of the power armor suits, it's really a no-brainer.
Ranger Armor: DR 39, AP +5, Luck +1, no losses. Talon armor or Combar armor will repair it. Power Armor: DR 40, no AP bonus, no luck bonus, AGL -1, CHA -1. Only other power armor fixes it.
